The scenic route
was worth it.

I started at GWU chasing two things at once: a CS degree and a creative practice. My first real taste of where they could meet was HCI, designing Eco-Flow as an undergrad and realizing that building something useful and designing something intuitive were the same problem.

After school I explored the creative side more directly, video production, motion graphics. It was a good run, but I kept getting pulled back toward the technical side.

So I went into full stack web development. The more I worked on complex systems, the more I became interested in how people actually interacted with them, simplifying processes, reducing friction, making things feel obvious. That interest pushed me toward the front end, hardcoding wireframes in HTML, CSS, and JS just to have better design conversations with stakeholders.

Since then I've developed a deep interest in product thinking and design leadership, how good design gets made, how it gets decided, and how it gets championed inside an organization.

I made a deliberate move and I'm currently finishing my Master's in UX Design at MICA. My goal is simple: make complex things feel effortless. The technical background helps, but the obsession with simplicity is what drives it.
