MICA: UX Research - Twitch Discovery Study
As part of my graduate UX Research coursework at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), I selected Twitch as my client to explore opportunities for improving content discovery and personalization.
This study investigates how viewers find new streamers, what factors shape their discovery habits, and where Twitch’s recommendation systems fall short in supporting diverse user needs.
My Role

The Challenge
Twitch’s discovery system faces the challenge of balancing creator visibility with viewer personalization. This research will explore how Twitch can better support both groups in the discovery process.
